Questions people ask before buying
Do I have to use every module?
No. Many customers start with the phone system and contacts, and switch on accounting, staff or their industry module later. Everything shares the same records, so turning a module on later does not mean importing anything.
Can I use Filantis only as a phone system?
Yes. The phone system is complete on its own — extensions, call menus, the mobile app, recording and reports — and it connects to any standard SIP carrier, so you keep your numbers.
Does the accounting handle sales tax and my country's tax?
When you create your workspace you pick your country of business, and Filantis loads its tax regime, currency, date format and financial year. In the US that means sales tax on your invoices, tax reports, US dates and a January financial year from the first login.
What is a "simultaneous call", and how many do I need?
It is the number of conversations that can happen at the same instant — not the number of people, phones or numbers you have. A third of your headcount is a sound first estimate, and changing plan takes effect immediately.
Will my handsets and biometric readers work?
If a phone speaks SIP — Yealink, Grandstream, Fanvil, Snom, Cisco and most others — yes. Attendance readers from fourteen makes, including ZKTeco, eSSL, Hikvision and Suprema, connect over your network.
Is the free plan a trial?
No — it is a plan. 10 extensions and 4 calls at once, for as long as you want them.
What happens if we want to leave?
You cancel, and the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for — no notice period and no cancellation fee. Your numbers stay with your carrier, because they were never ours.
