Questions about the phone system
Do I need to buy new phones?
No. Any handset that speaks SIP works — Yealink, Grandstream, Fanvil, Snom, Cisco and most others. Staff without a desk phone use the browser or the mobile app.
Can I keep my existing numbers?
Yes. Connect the SIP trunk from your current carrier and your numbers stay where they are. Your carrier does not change, and neither does your call bill — we resell no minutes.
Is it really one price regardless of users?
Yes. Plans differ by features and capacity, never by a count of people. Adding an extension for a new hire costs nothing.
Do you support STIR/SHAKEN?
Yes. Outbound calls can be signed with your certificate where your carrier requires it, so your caller ID keeps its attestation.
Is it secure?
Every device has its own credential, separate from the staff member's login. The mobile app calls over TLS with encrypted audio, the firewall blocks addresses you name, and a revoked phone stops ringing at once.
Does the phone system work with the rest of Filantis?
